Excuse me .. your holier than thou attitude is very condescending. When I said I would not be here - that's because I believe Christians will be gone when all this mess happens in America.

Why do I believe that. Because it's the prayers of the Christians that keep America on the right path. When the prayers of Christians are no longer supporting America - even you don't want to be here.

I don't intend to be here. I have made my choice.

President Bush DOESN'T WRITE LEGISLATION - THE CONGRESS DOES

True! But he does sign it, does he not?
Until he signs, is it law?
Not when I went school it wasn't.
Have there been changes?

If you want to rant and scream - you need to be sending this info to the people who will get to vote - the Congress!!

Apparently you don't follow my posts. I do send it and spend quite a bit of time on the phone with them.

Are you getting upset beccause you are beginning to see that our President is involved in this? No need to get upset, the last six Presidents have been working for it, just some harder than others.

Now how would I know that about you, if you didn't say it?

>>And .. I beg to differ with you .. we are NOT "dissolving our sovereignty" - not by a long shot.<<

You explain to all of why we are NOT "dissolving our sovereignty" when we sign a treaty.

Most people don't realize that the WTO has assumed what was once the sovereign duty of Congress to regulate trade. Now instead of our elected representatives regulating trade, we have the WTO and their unelected tribunal.

Because the WTO is a subsidiary agency of the UN, and the WTO is committed to implementing sustainable development through trade treaties and agreements, I'd say this is yet another example of loss of individual and US sovereignty to a global body under control of the UN.

As a parent YOUR responsibility is to keep fighting, not sit on your butt and relax when the enemy is still at your door.

"I'm fairly new..I agree with hedgetrimmer. It appears something has been afoot for 30 years or so and a few of us are just hearing about it."

Hey pbrown. I was just commenting on what I see, which is that there are a LOT of new posters and so many of them are fringe-like. At least as FReepers they are. They all seem to want to roast Bush over immigration, think the U.N. is filled with fine upstanding "leaders," and that Islam is just misunderstood. They frequently posit that "hey, Hillary might not be so bad if she's tough on immigration," wink-wink.

Just look at how rabid this A Balrog of Morgoth guy is. He just absolutely sure the UN is a wonderful orgarnization.

No .. I'm getting upset apparently because your questions seem to imply that I'm responsible for the mess we're in .. or that I somehow have the responsibility for fixing the mess we're in.

I'm telling you .. if you're going to elect COMMUNISTS into your govt you have to expect you're going to get legislation which supports their point of view.

I don't help elect those types of people - and I actively work against their election. That's my part - and that's the best I can do. I call, I write letters (yes snail mail) to 18 of our senators and I basically told them off; I email. To seemingly hold me responsible for what these COMMUNISTS in the UN and the US govt are doing is just foolish.

Read Michael Crichton's State of Fear. It's an excellent, very readable book of fiction, based on the phoney science of the environment. It explains the fallacy and politicization of the environmental movement, how it's all a big power play. The story line is of course fiction but the facts (all footnoted) are real.

Have you heard of the LOST treaty that was defeated in the Reagan administration, defeated again last year? It is being brought up again pushed by senator Lugar. It includes a global tax efectively. Henry Lamb's last article quoted our new secretary of state wanting it passed and Bush has said he would like to see it passed.

You may want to stick your head in the sand while the UN trys to pass aglobal tax, but I for one won't.

I hate and want to see the destruction of the UN. islam is not a religion, it is a cult of death. Those are my opinions

I don't agree with Bush on immigration. It is wrong.

Here you go insinuating that I'm not doing anything.

What do you know ..?? I take care of my mom who is 92 years old and suffers from demenia. The rest of the time, I go to school to learn a new trade because I need to have extra income. I'm writing a book. I run the San Diego Chapter of FR - although we're not really that active at the moment - but I'm sure we'll gear up as we get closer to 2006.

If you call that "sitting on my butt" and "relaxing" .. you're in la la land.

I have seen maps where the sustainable development crew have divided the whole west coast into areas for humans and the rest to be returned to nature. The scope of their plans is stunning. They want you to eat mass produced foods (think Soylent Green) with little or no animal product and live in multi-family dwellings. In other words they want to herd the people and let the animals run free.

A treaty does not give up out sovereignty. I don't know where you get that from .. but you need to investigate that assumption.
