In fact, we came very close to officially recognizing and implementing Agenda 21 in 1994 when the senate put up the biodiversity treaty for vote.
I, as a few freepers on this post, was skeptical that the UN had a plan to control all land in the US. Then I read the treaty, all 1,044 pages of it.
The treaty was a mish-mash of soft law decrees that ordered the control of American land by law and bureaucratic dictates. Quite simply, it was a fascist document - government control of private property.
After that failed in a senate vote, Clinton started the illegal implementation of this treaty thru the President's Council on Sustainable Development. Many alphabet federal agencies began illegally writing parts of Agenda 21 into their land-use plans.
Clinton and his fascist bureaucrats stole more than a million acres of private property and placed them under federal bureaucratic control via wetland designation, the endangered species act and EPA dictates.
The courts, in a monumental embrace of judicial stupidity, went along with this piracy and called this seizure of private property a "public good." There is no such thing as "public good" in the constitution. It's "public use." Public good is nothing more than the American version of the Marxist "common good."
On the other hand, the courts did give us a few tools to fight these land grabs under Dolan, Nollan, Lucas and First English Evangelical.
And we're getting good, conservative rulings from lower district courts and state courts that will provide ammo to crush Agenda 21. It's up to us to be aware of these lower court rulings and use them against the eco-fascists and their allies in the "smarxist" growth cult.

Further up the thread you stated that Davis refused to sign this legislation. Therefore it preceded Schwarzenegger. Whether you want to acknowledge that or not, it is true.
Isn't this fun? Look, I believe he was wrong to sign this. If he talked it up beforehand, I don't think it was right to do so. He WAS NOT THE driving force. He was part of the problem.
Confirmation Hearing of Condoleeza Rice

LUGAR: And this is a great way to do so.
I would add in agreement, this is also important, the AMEC agreement. We have enlisted the support of Norway and friends who want to work in that area, particularly on the submarine issues and the pollution of nuclear material that may have been dumped or could be dumped without activity on our part. Let me turn to another issue. In your answers to questions for the record -- and I cite that because I've asked this question for the record and you have responded -- I particularly appreciate your response on the Law of the Sea Convention.
You urged the committee to favorably report it out and said that you will work with the Senate leadership to bring the convention and implementing agreement to the floor vote in the 109th Congress.
And you also said the following: Joining the convention will advance the interests of the United States military. The United States, as the country with the largest coastline and the largest exclusive economic zone, will gain economic and resource benefits from the convention. The convention will not inhibit the United States nor its partners from successfully pursuing the Proliferation Security Initiative. And the United Nations has no decision-making role under the convention in regulating uses of the oceans by any state party to the convention.
LUGAR: That's clearing up an issue sometimes raised by opponents of the convention. Finally, you said, The convention does not provide for or authorize taxation of individuals or corporations. I cannot think of a stronger administration statement in support of the Law of the Sea Convention. Should I assume that the president would like to see this convention passed as soon as possible?
RICE: Would certainly like to see it pass as soon as possible. And, Senator, I think you know the history of this better than I, as well as senators like Senator Warner and others who worked very hard to make sure that some of the early concerns about the convention were addressed and that the convention as it now stands serves our national security interests, serves our economic interests. And we very much want to see it go into force.
"seriously people dont sink to the DU's level with ridiculous black helicopter style stories, that are embedded with "what ifs" and "it mights" and "it coulds" and this will "end america" at least at the moment there are to many decent americans that wouldnt let this destroy america"
How old are you? The America that I knew as a boy ceased to exist long ago, it cannot be saved, it would have to be resurrected.
"Frightening and predicted thousands of years ago in Bible prophecy. The good news is that more and more are catching on, but as our freedoms disappear, I fear it will be too late."
I fear it is already too late, friend. Try explaining to some young graduate of the public schools or even the universities that this is not supposed to be a Democracy, try explaining to them that the freedom we used to take for granted ever even existed, let alone that it should be brought back. Try asking them what the Battle of Hastings or the Magna Charta were and when they occurred or even what century the Battle of Gettysburg was fought. Ask them to quote the first line of the Gettysburg address. Those who have no idea from where we came can have no clue as to where we are headed.
Depends on who you mean by "we". Agenda 21's manifesto preamble resembles the democratic party's. The difference is in scope, the focus is the same. Amongst the Rs, there are those that see opportunity in the scheme and pursue it for their own gain. Regardless of scope, it's the same rubbish that is socialism.
Hmmm...seems to fit also with the "anti-SUV" rants by the MSM over the past few years. The evil SUV will be replaced by these wonderful transportation hubs.
IMO the newly adopted "Anti-Smoking" agenda that has been implemented in many U.S. cities and states, as well as European areas, is also being directed by the U.N. And I am a non-smoker; but I believe in personal rights and freedoms. The anti-smoking campaign is just the start of other freedoms that will be taken away from U.S. citizens. This is all being done in the name of what is good for everyone. It looks like the new "anti" campaign, is the one against fat people.
Big Media Won't Touch Agenda 21
Have you seen this thread yet? You might find it interesting.
Unlike Iraq, where our nation has risen to help free the people after decades of oppression and tyranny,if the US should fall under government tyranny, there is no nation left on Earth with the resources, or the will to help us.
It will be our own fight and with just under 50% of the people already squeemish about trading blood for freedom in other places, a few freepers could be hunted down as "insurgents". The people behind the world government agenda are well shielded from the wrath of the people.
The current domination of politics by two parties proves there is little difference between the two agendas. The only disagreement is how to implement socialism. And over the past decade, much has been damaged with little recourse to get repaired.
Bush may not be directly involved, but guaranteed there are many in high places promoting agenda 21. Much of the agenda is being implemented disquised as "homeland security" and "resource management". Most of those policys are implemented without even a procedural vote from congress. Autonomy of government agencys to self dictate policy and agenda are only affected by budgetary appropriations, not content of regulations.
And unfortunately, most of America is uninformed and uncaring about what happens elsewhere. Half of America was almost scammed into voting for Kerry, even with his lousy record of accomplishment. Those people obviously will be of no help to stop Agenda 21.
The American people have no idea of the money and power behind this organization. It's an octopus with it's tentacles spread all over the world.
48% of Americans voted for Kerry last election. These people are already hopeless and cannot be counted on.
The clock is already ticking. So sitting on your hands to wait for you to be directly affected is exactly why there is little resistance already. Try connecting the dots.
Neighborhood associations, regional planning comissions, eminent domain, annexation, conservation etc. It all leads to the source of the ideas.
Thanks hedgetrimmer for this well researched informative post. Your efforts are appreciated. This is something that I had thought was occuring with regard to the land grabs for open space. But I had no idea that there was an underlying infrastructure like Agenda 21.
I have also noticed an up-swing in land grabs in the name of "Emminent Domain"....the taking of private lands by local, state, gov. for use for "the good of everyone". I work in the building industry, so this info. is part of my daily life.
I will work with every fiber to not let that happen.
The Preamble of the UN Earth Charter states:
we are one human family and one Earth community with a common destiny. We must join together to bring forth a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature.... Towards this end, it is imperative that we, the peoples of Earth, declare our responsibility to one another, to the greater community of life, and to future generations.

AGENDA 21
A major achievement of UNCED was Agenda 21 a thorough and broad-ranging program of actions demanding new ways of investing in our future to reach global sustainable development in the 21st century. Its recommendations ranged from new ways to educate, to new ways to care for natural resources, and new ways to participate in designing a sustainable economy. The overall ambition of Agenda 21 was breathtaking, for its goal was nothing less than to make a safe and just world in which all life has dignity and is celebrated.
