Mao's China also could control its boarders and that wasn't a rich nation. Cuba controls its boarders pretty well even today.
Golly, how do those poor nations manage it!!
Actually this thread has quite a history.
I just received some comments on it and after responding, more came.
I'm sick at home with time on my hands, so why not work at persuading some people?
Perhaps one day you too will call for the control of our borders.
Bad English perhaps. LOL I'm not thin-skinned so fire away.
Banned!
I see more than a few of that percentage in here CT, and on a college campus I go to on occasion. It boggles me how they have been brainwashed, it really does. Clinton did a lot more damage than I thought possible.
I know where you are coming from, but sometimes I enjoy reading those posts with "</sarcasm>" tags.
I enjoy reading sarcasm, it's the need for tags that I find annoying.
Right you are. Just look at that Churchill fellow.
I didn't know the link was no long valid. This is a very old thread. But I like the debate it brings.
Uh, Dude ..... your link is bad:

You could be right about that (trying to track businesses hiring illegals), but I have seen numerous articles that point out businesses that have openly hired illegals. Some are probably fairly obvious, like growers.
I'm with you.
I see what you mean.
I was just told about the bad link. This is a very old post. The main topic on it now seems not to be the story, but whether or not stories like this (or more appropriately stories by authors like this) should be allowed to be posted.
Thanks.
"We must seal the borders and
put a moritorium of 10 years on all Immigration Now. "
Barbara Jordan chaired the US Commission on Immigration and reported recommendations to Congress in 1995. The bipartisan commission was right on, and if the jerks in Congress, from Gingrich on down, had paid attention, we would be in far better circumstances today.
Read her summary statement here.

Oh, yeah. I see now that you posted it a month ago.Eyes open now. Thanks. :^)
There is a lot about the Patriot act that bugs me, but the good thing is that right now it seems to be doing what needs to be done about the morons. A lot of the problems (I think) stem form the haste in it's passing right after 9/11
I forget, when is the PA's sunset date?
I know there is some serious tweaking to be done to it
