Krauhthammer nailed it. The speech was nothing new. At least we avoided a couple of the tired cliches that were dragged out the other week like "freedom is on the march" and the real fighting words, "family values don't stop at the Rio Grande" when Bush is pimping his amnesty-in-everything-but-name program.
I found the speech uninspired and tiring. Between the fishnet stockings behind Laura and Dick sucking on his lozenge, I was able to stay awake. I don't trush Bush. He's a liar and a scoundral.
Fortunately his border mess ought to fail in the House. He won't actually sign a budget which reigns in spending, he won't get up-or-down votes on judges, he won't get critical reforms enacted. He will, however, try to taint the U.S. Constitution with his "marriage ammendment" unAmerican, liberty-squashing agenda.

Newz, respectfully, I disagree with most of your reply. What I contend most is
He's a liar and a scoundral [sic].
In a building filled to the rafters with liars and scoundrels, President Dubya was the most honest and sincere human there (excepting those attending in military uniform).
Dubya may not be perfect (who is?), but he's much smarter and capable than most credit him as being.
