I'm 34 years old and I think President Bush's SS plan is long overdue.
The RATS better realize this is probably the last chance to reform and save SS. If they keep yelling there's no problem and win on this, it will be IMPOSSIBLE to make any rational changes in the system before it hits the wall. They will destroy it out of pure partisan bile. If Clinton had offered the exact same reforms they would have been on their knees for him.

So , the question is, why are the Democrats taking the position they are on Social Security?
It seems to me, that it will drive those under age 35 at least to move to the Republican's side... so the battle must be in the 35 to 55 age bracket.... which group is larger perhaps?
I don't understand the political calculus....
