This was the best part of the President's address. I think one theme undergirded the entire speech: human freedom. The freedom of people to choose their own governments and the freedom to manage their own lives, emphasized in deciding how you want to retire as opposed to the government managing that for you like its always been. Its a new world and the Democrats are for the first time, on the defensive.

Yup, the idea cannot be ignored, because it is true, and folks more and more are understanding that. IMO. Bush even more clearly outlined a new American foreign policy than he did in his Inaugural Address and named names, including Saudi Arabia. Stunning. Absolutely stunning. Granted it involves risk, but in the long term, prudently taken risk. Bush has it right.
