Wouldn't it be awesome if he ended his speech with "It saddens me that Justice Renquist has tendered his resignation from the bench, but, I intend to nominate John Ashcroft as the next Supreme Court justice to replace him" Man, wouldn't it be fun to see the shock on all the dems faces if that happened?

I'd rather wait until the 21st so Ashcroft can be recess-appointed.
