That's right, another non-story! What crapola.

Although Gutierrez is in a super-safe gerrymandered district (drawn to elect an hispanic), this further shows the vacuous state of the Democratic party. They propose nothing, but just bitch and whine about stuff like this.

there was a discussion about how the big 5 textbook producers change the history books...

They all agreed to it? Doesn't that violate the Sherman Act or something?

The Bratz dolls, like many modern cartoons, are simply ugly.

While many view American Girl Dolls as more wholesome than Barbies, I think that Barbie is okay and playing with them is at least play and not television. Barbie is glamourous and the AGDs are younger or about the age of the girls playing with them. I think both provide good play.

There are five major textbook producers who take their cue from the NEA (?). National Education Association, if I'm remember that correctly.

In addition, when showing a picture of someone doing what is typically thought of as a man's job, say a jackhammer job, the textbooks are to show a woman.

When showing a "businessman" they should show an African Minority.

Another freeper saw the show too and can perhaps remember more than I can.

Upchuck - if you remember some other instances of school textbook insanity, please post them here. Thanks.

Have you seen the movie "Get Serious" where Ray pokes fun at the PC crowd for declaring his music offensive? Great movie and years ahead of its time.

Ha! Yet another reason to like Barbie.

To make the feminist happy one needs to make Barbie a bit heavy and less delicate. To make the Islam zips happy one needs to make Barbie wear oppressive Islamie clothes and stay away from driving Barbie cars or having any other outside the house fun.

Childhood obesity is a problem right? Let Barbie set a nice skinny example. If the girls want a good Ken they need to play plenty, burn those calories, and develop pretty legs in those ballet classes.
