Actually you can buy a jet for under a million now. The reason there aren't more of them is that flying by jet is still really expensive in terms of fuel, flight crew, maintenance, insurance, etc. The cost to operate a jet can be upwards of $1500 an hour. Its still too expensive for average people, even average millionaires.

The new generation of small jets (4-6 seats) have very low overall operating costs, owner or single pilot operation, and access to much smaller airports. They will revolutionise corporate travel.

What about that one from Raytheon? That expensive to operate? I'm also curious, how many gallons of fuel (per hour, mile, whatever) doe these little jets use?
