(EVERYONE PLEASE READ #771 IF YOU HAVE NOT YET DONE SO, AND CONTACT INFO AT #808)

My e-mail to him:

Dear Senator Hatch:

TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO'S LIFE IN IMMINENT DANGER! Senator, please check on widely covered case, by Larry King and Greta Van Sustern, for instance, recent SCOTUS refusal to hear Jeb Bush's appeal as FL Gov., letting stand FL courts decisions that she can be killed by order of her estranged "husband"(living with another woman for years and fathering her 2 kids) by having her starved and dehydrated to death by removing her ordinary feeding tube over objections of her parents and siblings who love her and want to care for her. And please go to terrisfight.org and see that she is not in a coma and is very responsive for a brain-damaged person. Lies about her condition, and corruption in Pinellas county legal system threaten her life. I SAW YOUR SPEECH ON CORRUPTION RE: JUNK LAWSUITS IN ILLINOIS COUNTY. WONDERFUL SPEECH. PLEASE, DOJ OR HHS COULD STOP TERRI'S DEATH, I BELIEVE. FEDERAL RULES AND LAWS ARE BEING BROKEN. STATE ONES TOO, BUT THE SYSTEM IN THAT COUNTY IS BROKEN; will you help save a beautiful life and strike a blow for Justice and Mercy?

Note: the e-mail form asks you to pick a category of what your message is about. I chose "Judicial", which seemed the best of the ones offered. Also, after I clicked to send it, a message from Hatch popped up saying, sorry, not to expect a personal reply if you are not from Utah. Doesn't mean the message won't be seen by anyone, though. Wondering about UTAH FReepers...maybe some of them could get on this.

Schiavo never had appropriate legal representation, court told

By JONI B. HANNIGAN
February 3, 2005

http://www.floridabaptistwitness.com/3782.article

(excerpts)

CLEARWATER (FBW)--Urging the court to not rush into a life-and-death situation at the hands of an “overzealous” attorney, a lawyer for Terri Schiavo’s family argued Jan. 28 that she has never been given her constitutional right to an independent attorney, something that should happen before she is literally starved to death by a court order.

Gibbs said Terri Schiavo had not been given due process under the law because she did not have independent counsel at any time during the proceeding that would ultimately decide whether she lives or dies. He also argued that the separation of powers is in jeopardy when the judiciary is solely responsible in deciding the outcome of such a critical issue.

Several times at the hearing, Gibbs urged the judge to make sure, whatever the outcome, that Terri Schiavo has her day in court.

“I urge the court not to rush,” Gibbs said. “There is not reversibility once Terri Schiavo has been starved and dehydrated to death.”
