No, I think the problem is that politicians are afraid of getting egg on their face. If they refrain from saving Terri as a result of that fear, they will have blood on their hands.

I understand, and I know that is a postive suggestion, but the fact is they would rather have blood on their hands than egg on their face. You watch.

They don't realize that blood is much harder to get clean. No matter how clever Michael et al. try to be, there's a good chance murder will out. And if it does, everyone who supported it is going to have blood-stained hands that will never come clean. But if the politicians instead act to save Terri, they'll find that the egg is washed away as soon as Terri is safe with her parents and Michael et al. are safely behind bars.

Several FL politicians who voted for the worthless "Terri's Law" later said they regretted having responded to the pressure for this legislation in 2003. One, the rotund Jim King, swore he would do what he could to kill her after all!
