Actually 17 dead so far.... if its under 50 by the end of the day, that will be good news. The terrorist insurgents were hoping for mega casualties in the hundreds range. I don't think now we'll see it. There's just so much more good news than bad and the Iraqi election is proceeding as well as can be expected in a violence-wracked country. We should see today's vote as the triumph of ordinary people over gangs of criminals and brigands who want to return them to life under another tyranny.
