It was pretty amazing how the US found the terrorists who bombed the US Embassy yesterday. I think there is a learning curve and we are getting ahead of it.

Yes it is. What's also remarkable, is that GWB may have envisioned this very thing, Iraqi's sticking out their voting blue fingers in defiance of tyranny and terrorists. They're still learning about all of this, but they are learning. They lived under tyranny for so long and this freedom thing is all very new for them.
I admire their bravery and I've told them that. I don't know if I'd have the courage to vote under such hostile circumstances.

The Iraqis have given us a global test in the power of freedom. Its one that flies over Uncle Ted's head.

Honestly, I was worried we could se at least 20 dead today.
If we can keep it under the yardstick of 10, that is a big accomplishment.

Democrat operative slashed their tires.
Can you imagine voters in the US walking for 4-5 hours to be able to vote?

I quite frankly had not heard how they captured those responsible so quickly, but I am sure I will know soon enough. :)

Well oops......now 12. But, even if we get to 20, it will still be a big deal that it was not much worse, near as worse as we had feared.

Look at the 2 lines of voters in this picture
Iraqis wait to enter a polling station in southern city of Basra, Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005. Iraqis turned out to vote Sunday in their country's first free election in a half-century as insurgents made good on threats of violence, launching at least three deadly suicide bombings and heavy mortar strikes at polling stations. Just hours after polls opened, 17 people were killed. (AP Photo/Nabil Aljurani)

I stopped in here to get the latest on the election before going to bed. I knew you would all be more informative than the news.
Thanks. :-)

To tell the truth, I'm not sure I would have the courage either. That's just one of the reasons this is so exciting and keeping me up waaaaaaaayyyyy past my bedtime. :^)

Did he take a swiftboat up the Tigris?
>>Kerry's not there for the elections, he's hoping someone will detonate a fig or date cache so he can win another purple heart.

17 people killed now. Stinks......but, at least we won't get to 50 probably.
