Along with raising our voice in public matters in support of our troops and the Iraqi people seeking freedom, along with being active in the political discourse so as to influence things for the good, there is NOTHING more important or powerful that we can do in these matters than pray in faith, nothing waivering, for God's will and His good purposes to be revealed and fulfilled.
We so pray this day, that it will be so in Iraq. That liberty and freedom may break forth their so that God's children in that portion of the vineyard may have the opportunity to, of their own free will and choice, come to better know Him.
A wise and famous man once said this...
If you stand for liberty, you stand with God. And if the whole world should stand against you, you would still stand with God."
Such it is.
What a wonderful post and quote, Jeff Head. Thank you for your prayers and for pinging others to this vigil.
Thanks for the ping, Jeff. You can count on our family praying.
I join in the vigil of prayer for the elections and for all our heroes and this nation!
Those folks will be risking their lives to vote. We're so fortunate that bad weather and voter fraud are usually the worst we have to face.
Amen, Jeff. I, too, will join in this prayer, in the midst of my own personal stuff. Noble causes should be supported in this fashion.
And all of us who read the Bible know who will win the inevitable triumph. We also know the evil one can do a lot of damage on his way down.
