Guess what I got in the mail today? A "Commerative Invitation" to the Inauguration! All full of flowery language and such, then on the bottom said (in more flowery words!), "This isn't an invitation and won't get you in anywhere." Oh well, it was cool anyway!

I got my Commemorative Invitation to the Inauguration two days before the Inaugural. My daughter was real impressed! I didn't show her the second page, which said the first page basically meant nothing. She thought I ought to quickly buy a dress and hit the highway--never mind details like a day's drive, accommodations, parking and security. We had a great conversation imagining the various balls. I told her the only one I'd go to would be the FReeper Ball, even if I didn't get to see Pres. Bush. I hope they'll send us a lovely commemorative photo of the Bushes all dressed up for the Inaugural Balls. Well, at least we had time to imagine. Sorry your "invitation" came too late.
