Um, is it possible that some women, or men, or whoever, have trouble with map reading because no one ever taught them how?
No one comes out of the womb knowing how to read a UTM grid.

It amazes me to this day how much I'm supposed to know without having been taught whatever it is. I guess that's life. *LOL*

This may come as a surprise to some, but map reading skills may be acquired as a result of simple curiosity and access to a few books.
But the interest must be there.

Thank you! Spent 4 long weeks in PLDC (Primary Leadership Development Course), and the NCOs drilled map reading into our brains....so now, I can handle a map with the best of 'em.
