Every beg letter and come-on I get from the AARP gets the following response:

"Since I support neither gun control nor socialism, I am not even remotely interested in joining the AARP. Your anti-American agenda has earned you a place on my roster of America's domestic enemies."

Hear, Hear! I too, will not sign up with AARP. Some reasons are (1) AARP pushed to have Social Security Taxed (forget what the reason was but it went along w/John Kerry's reasons and it passed.) (2) AARP pushed hard for the Drug for Seniors (then said after it was law that they did not like the new law because so many members were quiting, canceling their membership. Thanks for the info about GUN CONTROL this I did not know. I Have guns and will defend my family to the last breath in me. I will not give MY GUNS up at any cost.I have been retired for 24 years and not once read any of AARP's mailing to me. Send the mailing back unopened and inscribed with "Return to sender Unsolicited Mailing".

Ha! I used to write something similar to that whenever I got one of their "beg fests" but they kept sending more. I began to just send back the empty, postpaid envelope and for some reason I don't get bothered by them anymore. They couldn't know from whence the empties came, could they?
