You get dumber with each post, don't you? Burress got two hands on that pass and dropped it. It was a tough catch but he had it and lost it. It WAS a decent call by the coaches. You really are making an *ss of yourself.

You made a statement to me that the play call (the pass to Burress) was bad, questionable, could be complained about didn't you? Then I addressed that. I said to you that I have and had no complaint with that call. No complaint! Burress is expected to make a catch like that on a play such as that. So, it was cool with me for our staff to make that call. He had the substantial height advantage, it was his to catch. But you did not address my reply to you.
You see, this is what you continually do. You fail to reply to the previous comments specifically.
Now I'll ask you one more time, what do you have to say to me about my belief that the play involving the throw to Burress was a decent call? Anything to say about that? Do you still think that call should have been complained about?
You just don't want to answer the question because if you had a brain for PLAYING football, and if you were a mature adult concerning this, you would be able to admit that you misspoke. But, alas, you never do. You never do.

it was already complained about by many people (including steeler fans) earlier in this thread. are they morons too because they diagree with you on one playcall? don't you get it? the only person who would coach every play the way you would is YOU. bill cowher has proven himself over many years, through a LOT of player/personnel turnover, to be a very capable head coach in a big football town. even being IN that 4th-quarter position after the horrid start in a revenge situation against a great opponent says a lot for how well he coached that game in particular. but I forgot - you watch the games, so you know his players better than he does, right?
it's certainly your prerogative to sit in front of your computer and line-item out the playcalls you don't like three days later, but if you don't like bill cowher, I hear rich kotite hasn't done much since that sopranos cameo and could use a job.
you don't know how lucky you have it. your team has now lost more conference title games at home than mine, but I don't see anyone rubbing your nose in it. why? because they dramatically overachieved. they didn't blow an opportunity so much as stand up to a far superior team.
and get something straight - I don't need to redeem myself to you. unless your name appeared on an arena (or pro) football roster, I probably know a little bit more about the inside of a huddle than you do. I don't enjoy pulling rank, but if you play with fire, it will burn you. just think of the amount of time we've spent debating one playcall that a coach gets about TEN SECONDS to decide on while getting input from a half dozen assistants and players. your constant assertions that I don't know this and that sound like the usual ranting of someone whose football experience starts with madden and ends with a four-digit number.

Saying that others disagreed with the call is not the same as giving an answer for your own opinion. That's what dimocrats do...

atlanta's defense was all we heard about - until we dropped a train on 'em.
I've already said how I felt about the call. in that situation, I would have run between the tackles on all three downs - nothing fancy or slow developing - MAYBE a trap in there somewhere, maybe ONE play over Marvel Smith. but no counters, pitches, sweeps, etc. definitely would not have thrown the ball.
I'd offer my reasoning, but you aren't the slightest bit interested in actual discussion.
