Well when I once talked about getting a flashlight to stick in the trunk of my car, one of my cop friends was pretty adamant that I get the big one, that takes 4 'D' batteries :)
Guys at work bought me the Maglight flashlight when I had to go into Boston a few times; it's big and heavy.
Good light. Their beams go on forever.
