"NOT ONE DAMN DIME DAY
Since our leaders don't have the moral courage to speak out against the war in Iraq, Inauguration Day, Thursday, January 20th, 2005 is "Not One Damn Dime Day" in America.
On "Not One Damn Dime Day" those who oppose what is happening in our name in Iraq can speak up with a 24-hour national boycott of all forms of consumer spending.
During "Not One Damn Dime Day" please don't spend money, and don't use your credit card. Not one damn dime for gasoline. Not one damn dime for necessities or for impulse purchases. Nor toll/cab/bus or train ride money exchanges. Not one damn dime for anything for 24 hours.
On "Not One Damn Dime Day," please boycott Walmart, KMart and Target. Please don't go to the mall or the local convenience store. Please don't buy any fast food (or any groceries at all for that matter).
For 24 hours, please do what you can to shut the retail economy down. The object is simple. Remind the people in power that the war in Iraq is immoral and illegal; that they are responsible for starting it and that it is their responsibility to stop it."
This is an anonymous letter that has been circulating the net and been posted on many left wing websites (the idea has been attributed to Bill Moyers). I just thought I'd pass the info along to my fellow Freepers. The left hopes to strike a blow to the U.S. economy with a 24 hour boycott beginning midnight tonight, and I think it would be great if we do everything we can to counter this.
So Freepers, if you've been saving up for a new TV, or any big purchase, or if you just need an oil change or a fresh tank of gas, try to buy it tomorrow. Get out there and support American businesses on inauguration day, and help cancel out this pathetic leftist attempt to hurt our economy.
I'll be buying like there's no tomorrow. (Which in my experience there isn't.)
Im going out and buy a Hummer
like I need a reason to shop!!!.... LOLOLOLOLOLOL
more brilliance from our "intellectuals".
That's okay. After our neighborhood party, we've all decided to go shopping. LOL
And believe me, the women in this neighborhood can shop.
LOL Party on!
I'm going to Sam's Club and stock up! Then Lowe's!
Where's that plan to defund the left (from at least the Fed Govt) again?
Buy a couple of guns tomorrow. At least buy some ammunition.
Donate to Free Republic, then post Jim's reply over there!
I don't need anything, but I'll buy something.
Actually, given your screen name, these lefties ought to send all their money to you. That way they won't be supporting the economy not only tomorrow, but for a longer period, which will make their protest that much more significant.
This is actually pretty normal activity from the Democrats. They get their welfare checks on Friday and end up eating dirt by Thursday.
I think I am going to get a couple of rolls of some of those "Dam Dimes" and hand them out as I go about my day, just to see people's expression , I am sure I will run into some DUmmies.... problem is I have to go out of my RED City/County. I am sure my son will be excited with his new laptop.
Been saving my purchases for weeks, just to buy it all tomorrow.
Here's a lib list of "blue" companies.

They also have low rated "red" companies on their list, where I plan on spending most of my money.
Why did you post this. These wack jobs are the tiny minority, and you've given them a wider audience via FR. Nevertheless, I'm buying something just because they aren't.
