Just heard, apparently police are out in force after hearing of the threat
I think it has something to do with the ratio of security-to-really-expensive-real-estate that would suddenly become worthless (think economic disaster) if a dirty bomb hit...
You may be right that the Boston angle is B.S., but that doesn't mean they don't want us looking there instead of elsewhere...
How will they know the "threat has passed?"

I posted several years ago that I thought it was odd that so many young Chinese were in this country. What totalitarian regime has ever allowed their people to leave?
I am not talking about students. I am talking about the large number of young Chinese working as tailors at a catalogue company I worked for in central Indiana. They would all arrive together and kept to themselves.
And why are there suddenly Chinese restaurants everywhere. I am not being funny about this...in my suburban area there used to be two Chinese restaurants. Ten years later, there are 17.
One restaurant is run by guy who was educated in China as a doctor.
I suppose I will be required to don my tin foil hat again, but I am talking about central Indiana, which has had a VERY small Chinese population until about 10 years ago.

Developing: Dirty Bomb Search Underway in Boston
19 January 2005; 4:15 EDT: Sources close to the Northeast Intelligence Network have verified initial, unsubstantiated reports that authorities are searching for a radiological or "dirty" bomb in and around the greater Boston, Mass. area, and areas from Boston as far south as Washington, DC. This source indicated that authorities suspect DC as a likely target to disrupt tomorrow's inauguration.
A law enforcement source, speaking under the condition of anonymity, stated that authorities are searching for 6-8 men, reportedly from Iraq accompanied by suspects of Asian origin- with science backgrounds. More information forthcoming.
Then one of the photos matched the FBI watch list - maybe he figured he'd get a reward.
