Some people believe in a sanctity in all living creatures.
Some don't.
Atta girl. Avoid answering the question.
I thought you were making me sick, but now I have it figured out. You're a woman who grew up in the city. Right?
Some people believe in 'a' sanctity in all living creatures??? I do believe you would 'feel' more at home over on DU. Lots of sanctimonious folks over there, sounds like a much better forum for your huggy-feely BS.
My cavalier spaniel (a small dog) was fascinated by sniffing for a woodchuck that lived under the porch. A week ago I found the remains of the woodchuck in the backyard, having obviously been lunch for a local predator (not my spaniel). As both woodchuck and dog are about the same size, and spend similar times outdoors, and one became lunch, how much "sanctity" should I grant the predator that is likely eyeing Teddy for a next meal? or should I respect the sanctity of the predator's nature to eat my pet?
There comes a point where other beings, for whatever reason, threaten the lives entrusted to one's care. How do you reconcile "beliving in a sanctity of all living creatures" when some of those living creatures are out to kill your dependents?
