Yeah, and how come Mr. Lowenstein failed to mention the boreon's precious lock box? It doesn't invest in treasuries, it invests in Federal Government IOUs.

Social Security also delivers a considerable nonmonetary benefit: people who have contributed throughout their working lives know that, regardless of the ebb and flow of their careers and, indeed, of the stock market, a guaranteed pension awaits them.

What gives with this? Is this right? A guaranteed pension? I have heard numerous commentators say the SS pension is NOT guaranteed. So who is right?
