maybe the red states are packed with libs and others who don't or can't marry and would rather live in "sin".

Red states are younger, and divorce rates are highest in the first 7 years of marriage 2. Blue states are typically blue because of the cities. Many young people move to the cities to get started in life and meet other young people, then they move someplace else where houses are more affordable. Many of my friends during the dot.com boom in silicon valley got married in california then moved to red states. 3. As one black leader put it "When America catches a cold, black America catches pneumonia". Divorce is higher among minorities and red states have higher populations of minorities. Finallly, the liberals are in part correct: people who get married after age 25 have lower divorce rates, and red staters get married at younger ages.
