Considering I've only been in the south for 10 years (plus it seemed to nail my midwestern roots), I guess it's OK... No explanation necessary. I can spend a week with my cousins in TN and come home talkin just likem.
I'll never forget, many many years ago on a visit down there, there was a little fellow sitting on the porch steps and he just sat there as we all hugged and gabbed.
Finally we looked at him and he said, "y'all toke funny!"
