Unbalanced Senator to point sights at Rice

This Boxer Surely Took Too Many Shots In The Head.

Fresh from her weepy protest of the 2004 election, Senator Barbara Boxer sent out a notice to her radical friends today that she plans to go after Dr. Condoleeza Rice hard next week, when the good doctor sits for confirmation before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

On Tuesday, January 18th and Wednesday, January 19th, National Security Advisor, Condoleeza Rice will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in a confirmation hearing for her appointment as Secretary of State.

Dr. Rice’s confirmation hearing must not be a rubber stamp of President Bush’s appointment.

The Senate must take it’s “advice and consent role seriously.

Am I at the right place? I though this was a place where affirmative action was not the cause of the day. Or do you think unqualified black people should get jobs just for being black? Condi's big job before Bush was academia - since when does that qualify anyone to do anything?

Bush 41 made a good choice with James Baker. A chief diplomat needs to know how to extract the best possible deal. The head of the State department needs to be able to credibly wield the stick while dangling the minimal carrot. The Sec. of State needs to be one part Tony Soprano and one part ad-man. Make them an offer they can't refuse but make sure they think they're getting something in the bargain (or at least getting the nest bargain they are going to get). Why not bring Jim back? That a good enough alternative for you? Hell, anyone at my firm's litigation department could out negotiate Condi.

"for her appointment as Secretary of State."

Secretary of State?

What's happening to our country?

It's not PHOTOSHOPED!

I KNOW.

You would clear up a lot of confusion if you would share how it is that you "KNOW".

And this is the problem. That photo is fake, and if it is used to push a point, the left is going to treat us like Dan Rather for using it.

Why did the United States go to war in Iraq based on misleading -- if not false and fraudulent -- evidence?

Ask Bill Clinton, Sandy Berger, and Madeleine Albright; they're the ones WE got the information from, not to mention the people who signed on to "regime change."

Here's a good answer to this question:

Why did we divert valuable resources and intelligence personnel to Iraq, taking them away from Afghanistan and the pursuit of Osama bin Laden?

Hey, idiot: read Tommy Franks' book. We didn't.

But carry on.

Just so everybody's clear, I didn't say that. It's a quote from the article. : )

Rice will hit every one of those questions out of the park. Hell I could, they are so damn easy. I will bet that Boxer pontificates and grandstands until she 'runs' out of time without asking a question. Hell, Binden and Kennedy do it "ALL THE TIME"!!

Actually, I might just be a better choice than Condi. I find, however, that the reward for private sector work are far greater than gubbamint work.

Funny that Condi used to be an academic. You know what they say - those who can do, those who can't teach.

(And what is your problem with cubicles? Plenty of people in cubicles are doing an honest day's work. You got a problem with an honest day's work?)

Rice v. Boxer will be most entertaining. Boxer is an idiot and will be exposed as such.

That's exactly what I was thinking to myself. Are these people really that stupid?
