If a mentally competent adult is under such physical suffering that life is unbearable, he should have the right to end his life. If for some reason hes unable to do so, he should have the right to hire another to assist him.
I think thats the most reasonable policy, and a no assisted suicide under any conditions policy is purely religiously founded, unsupportable by reason beyond wild speculation and is not consistent with the US Constitution.
