As the third recent Middle East election nears in Iraq, Americans are still puzzled over why well-off Islamic fundamentalists crashed planes into skyscrapers and now send mercenaries to the Sunni Triangle to slaughter us as we sponsor democracy. Yet since Sept. 11, we have grasped that Muslim fascists understood that the course of American-led world history — democracy and globalized capitalism — was leaving them behind. Thus they strike the United States before they are made irrelevant.

America symbolized the onset of a hated modernism and its breakdown of religious, gender and ethnic hierarchies that were so treasured by Islamicist patriarchs. As this war wore on, we also fathomed the pathological partnerships of tyrannies in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Syria with al-Qaida and other terrorist cadres. Both groups scapegoated the superpower United States for their own failures. In addition, killers in bin Laden's mafia and other terrorist planners from Iran to the West Bank turned out not to be the impoverished, but more often the pampered of the middle class — like the Saudi suicide zealot who just blew up Americans in Mosul.

Yet in the gloom over postwar Iraq, ex-CIA agents and moody public intellectuals have recently doubted this "They hate us for who we are" explanation. Instead, they have reintroduced the notion of "They hate us for what we do" — as if there are legitimate grievances that logically earn such violent attacks organized by petro-heirs, doctors and crackpot mullahs. Even a toned-down bin Laden is quoted as witness. He recently joked that al-Qaida is going after America, not liberal Sweden: had we just shrunk to the stature of the politically correct Scandinavians, then our problems would vanish.

But would they?

I read somewhere that tall man made structures are un-Islamic as they resemble phallic structure. There women folk are not allowed to even look at it as it might corrupt their mind and give them evil ideas. That was also the reason why Bamiyan Buddahs were raised by the Taliban. Even the Petronas Towers in Malaysia are considered un-Islamic by their clerics.

They even have a 'Satanic Tower' in Mecca where the devout muslims are supposed to throw stones. They actually hate anybody who aren't like them.

I've also heard that one of the things about the Jewish settlements that drives Muslims crazy is that they tend to be on hills, thus "higher" than Muslim areas. Can't have dirty Jews "above" them, you see.

They hate us because we are a nation of abortionists, gay rights activists and hedonists. This goes against the grain of Islam and they want to destroy us for leading the effort. Plain and Simple. Honestly, I think that the Communists figued out that once we released the genie from the bottle in Afghanistan back in the 80's, that a realignment was in order. (more at the end)

The left wing of the RAT Party are in its infancy. They believe they are the voices of change. The same change that took root in Russia in the early teens before the 1917 revolution. Once those voices were heard and the revolution finished, those voices were exterminated because they did not hold the true values of the party.

IMHO, somewhere in the US, Europe or Asia is a cabal, remnants of the old Soviet Union who have changed their attitude from armed struggle, where territory was the important focus of Communism, changed to a struggle where ideology through corrupting countries constitutions would be better realized. (1960's congressional document on communism)

Soros is a prime mover and shaker in this, to be sure. Islamofacism is the fulcrum and the US is the impediment to global Communism.

I am putting on my tinfoil hat here. Communism is like a fire, all comsuming. Islam, is the accelerant for the fire. Water is the democracy that puts out the fire. And sometimes you wind up with a backdraft. I propose that the collapse of the Berlin wall was not democracy run wild, but a backdraft and change in strategy by the Communists.

The fatal flaw of the PC types is a combination of ignorance and self-righteousness, insisting that islam is a religion.

Look through any book or news articles of the last 800 years and something curious emerges: the clash of cultures, ideologically or martially, is never referred to (correctly) as a conflict against North Africans, Turks, Arabs or Afghans... it is always against Mahometans, Mohamedans or Islam.

Why does this clear and unambiguous fact escape so many?

Islam, the religion, is just a tiny part of the whole, and the lesser one at that. In that culture, the tolerance of islam is inconsequential. Without a strangle hold on the host, these parasites are never satisfied. Political and cultural domination is their permanent trademark, and it can't exist without the "religious" part, which justifies everything else.
