Not only "what can the world expect from Muslims," but what can any US leader expect from globalist policies all Presidents have been pursuing since way way back and we still get spit on. WHEN..tell me WHEN will Bush and all the others EVER learn that you can not cast your pearls among swine, or that no good deed ever goes unpunished.

I hate to sound arrogant, but US sovereignty and OUR people come first. Close the borders and tell the rest of the freeloader illegal immigrants to take a hike.

How much is enough?

Sorry to rant. It IS a shame that these poor civilians have to suffer due to the callousness of their governments, cult religion and ignorance...BUT WE CAN NOT SAVE THE WORLD FROM ITSELF. THAT IS A FACT. It should be left to private Christian volunteers and agencies..NOT our government..as you can already see how much we are appreciated.

We can not continue to play God, because frankly....we aren't...nor do we have the resources.

Catch 22 in many ways.

OK! FINE!!!! Let's just take our stuff and go! IF they don't want us,that is FINE, Too!!! We should know by now that helping ingrates does not make them love America! I
am so glad I didn't give to this Tsunami thing. Plenty of people right here in the good old USA certainly will be grateful for any help they can get in the Floods, Mudslides, Tornadoes, Hurricanes and so on that occur here on a regular basis. Do those Countries ever HELP us?? I really do believe Charity begins at home and I hope we don't "jump the gun" to rush out and do this sort of thing again--just because the U.N.called us "Stingy"!!! I am so sick and tired of all our efforts for these other Countries who hate us, when we could do so much more here at home for those who really need help! Yes, I do pity the children, but if the Leaders don't want us there, what can we really do???

"In fact, the sooner [they leave] the better."

Let's go boys. Our work here is done.

Isn't there something in the bible about shaking the dist off your feet when you leave a hell hole like this???

But in Washington, White House spokesman Scott McClellan demanded "further clarification from Indonesia about what this means."

It means that the Muslim leadership in Indonesia is trumping US aid with Islam. Which is exactly why I didn't contribute a nickle to relief efforts. I saw it coming about one hour after the wave hit.

These people (the political leaders) are unworthy of American support.

The commoners I have sympathy for. But they tolerate the Nazi's entrenched within their religion; therefore I have no desire to send my dollars to a place where they will likely get ripped off by Islamanazi's engaged in corruption, aided and abetted by the UN.

Call me a fool, but my money will stay home.

It is a sovereign nation. They are very grateful for the assistance. Imposing a time limit on visitors to their nation is fair enough.

I am with you.
The money will end up in the government's hands....and aid terrorism.

Fine, get them out right now and put them on our borders to protect us.

Good answer!

I think you Sir, have hit this nail directly on the head. My guess is also that the only people not wanting the US there is the Indonesian government and the terrorists. They, after all have the most to lose by their people seeing that Americans and Australians aren't the two-headed monsters they've been preaching to their people about. I can't imagine that the people receiving aid and being helped are going to want them to leave sooner rather than later. And maybe some are asking or wondering why their own government is not helping them as much as the Americans and Australians.

The longer the US and Australia stay and help, maybe it will be harder to talk that 20 year old into putting on the bomb jacket. Not all of them for sure, but maybe the one that was helped during this tragedy won't be so quick to do it.

Thank you. The Indonesian experience is the veritable tip of the iceberg with respect to the disaffection of the general populace of these countries with the US and other Developed Countries. I've seen that, all too often, US and other "Developed" nations form allegiances with repressive regimes or localized Power Brokers for commercial purposes. In the process we provide tacit approval or, in some cases, outright support for these regimes in return for their agreement to deliver up their legions of Serfs to manufacture Nike tennis shoes for the US consumer (Nike=Only one of millions of examples). As long as the supply of shoes (Or oil?) is forthcoming we have little objection to the reality of these societies vis a vis terrorism/radical Islam.

So we see that it's a very complicated dance we find ourselves in and who really knows where the music stops. One thing I do feel confident of is the fact that the Developed Nations policies towards these countries works to the benefit of Elites on both sides of the divide and works against the interests of workers everywhere (And I'm a free market, Conservative type guy!).

A simple example of what I'm saying (But by no means an isolated one) is our policy towards the Saudi regime. It exemplifies the long term damage that can be produced for the short term benefit of the few elites of both Saudi and Developed Countries. I could write several book on this subject but I hope I've made my point in these few paragraphs. :-)

Exactly. Let's get the hell out of there and let them clean up their own mess. We have enough to do here. Ungrateful swine. Is part of the "religion of peace", along with every other human foulness, ingratitude?

You and me both sister. My radar pinged immediately when this went down.

Money to Vets. Money to the Troops. Money to the Defense Budget.

NO money to ANY islamic country (or their terrified European host countries)!

Your post is exactly right. Governments everywhere are the worst enemies of their own citizens. To ally with the kleptocrats is neither wise nor practical, except for those in on the looting.

Rush was talking about some of this nonsense, and it made my blood boil.

I thought instinctively of certain folks hereabouts whom made themselves look like blithering idiots with a lot of "We Are the World" nonsense right after this unfortunate business started. I was all for reasonable and generous aid, to be sure, but not a mad dash up the money tree shaking every branch.

Americans are the only people in the world generous and warmhearted enough to rush halfway around the planet to help nations that basically despise us. That some of them have already commenced to kicking us in the teeth surprises me not in the least. 'Tis unfortunate; but it was entirely predictable.

Or, as our friend Mark Steyn says,

"Jeez, man, would it kill you once in a while just to send a box of chocolates and a card saying "Thank you, you infidel sons of whores and pigs", and leave it at that?"
