Critics Question No-Bias Finding By CBS Panel

By Howard Kurtz Washington Post Staff Writer Wednesday, January 12, 2005; Page C01

If there is one line in the 224-page report on CBS News that has set critics aflame, it is that there is no "basis" for concluding that Dan Rather and his colleagues had a "political bias" in pursuing their badly botched story about President Bush's National Guard service.

What, they say? No evidence?

"In any fair-minded assessment of how CBS performed and why they so badly butchered their own standards, that has to be part of the explanation," said former New York Times reporter Steve Roberts, now a professor at George Washington University. "It's not just that they wanted to be first, they wanted to be first with a story that was critical of the president."

...it's business as usual with the MSM.

That's my belief also. I've commented on other threads about the mindset of the MSM. They are who they are. They are different than us! Their wiring got crossed along the way. They couldn't change even if they wanted to; they're sick. And there ain't no medicine for their ailment. Well, maybe years of psychotherapy, but then, they'd probably drive the shrinks nuts.

Wholesale housecleaning is not in the cards, and that's what it would take to actually turn the dinosaur out. Sortof like cleaning a septic tank; you can't begin cleaning until you stir the whole nasty, stinkin' mess up first. BLECH!

"That's my belief also."

I thought you'd agree, after all you've witnessed the exact same crap I have.
What other conclusion w/could a sane person arrive at?

"I've commented on other threads about the mindset of the MSM. They are who they are. They are different than us! Their wiring got crossed along the way."

Anyone listen (nevermind comprehend)? {g}
Yea they're "different" than us alright, but unbeknownst to them that self anointed difference only makes 'em "weird". :o)

"They couldn't change even if they wanted to..."

Well once in a blue moon one of 'em wakes up, but then they don't have work anymore either & Bernard Goldberg comes immediately to mind.

I mean Rush nailed it when he said the hag Mary Mapes -- & all the other losers SeeBS sacrificed to get their worthless asses off the proverbial hook -- will be offered some kind of cushy job elsewhere in the Liberal-Socialist vast leftward conspiracy.
Just watch.
The Liberal-Socialist "Big Bug" in charge c/would never let that kind of unadulterated hatred go to waste.

"...they're sick. And there ain't no medicine for their ailment. Well, maybe years of psychotherapy, but then, they'd probably drive the shrinks nuts."

Not even a shrink can help that ilk.
Hell's bells FGS it was shrink-like Liberal-Socialist freaks who brainwashed 'em to begin with.
Wash the brains of a moron (like them) *twice* & it falls apart like a cheap sweater.

"Wholesale housecleaning is not in the cards, and that's what it would take to actually turn the dinosaur out."

Yup, but the rot we're talking about is embedded; or, in the very words of the Liberal-Socialists themselves, it's institutionalized.

"Sort of like cleaning a septic tank; you can't begin cleaning until you stir the whole nasty, stinkin' mess up first. BLECH!"

HA!!

...from a TRUE country boy's mouth to God's ear!! ;^)
