While I wholeheartedly agree that this action is deplorable - unfortunately, that is the law in Germany (and almost everywhere else in Europe!!). There are private schools available to which these people could send thier children (alot of them are run by the Church). What they are doing is in open defiance of the the laws and, unfortunately, they will have to bear the consequences if they do not comply.
It is socialist and wrong, but no amount of protest letters from us to the German Embassy will ever change this.

These people want to teach their children the creation instead of the evolution and no sexual education. While sexual education might be debatable, there is no chance that any school in Germany - be it a church run or not - is allowed to teach the pupils the creation.
I feel for them though, they are the pioneers of their homeschool movement, much like 20 years ago there were pioneers in that area that makes it easy for people to homeschool in this country today. Sadly for them, their country is so far down the socialist track, they may never win this.
I wonder if the people of Germany are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights? Does their constitution state this. It seems that the authorities proclaim the state the ultimate authority. Of course these people are so endowed, but they will have to get the authorities to recognize this. This is the type of immigrant who should seek political assylum in the USA.
