An airline pilot friend of mine had a great Hale-Bopp sighting, she was flying late night to Anchorage and it was in her window all night with the aurora dancing around it.
Did she happen to get a snapshot from the cockpit?
Hale-Bopp. That's the one. Saw it 2 am on the top of a local hill. Easy to see next to the dipper with the naked eye. Only had a pair of binoculars. Beautiful sight.
