Why can't these people just accept/present their awards and shut up?!
They have no sense of propriety. They treat these awards shows as if they were their own private soap boxes. These people would have nowhere to spew their stuff if it weren't for these shows. Otherwise, who would listen to them? Where would they spew?
Certainly a whole different "class" of folks than during the days long ago with the likes of John Wayne, Gene Autry, Jimmy Stewart, ect...and class is exactly what today's self centered "actors" are missing. (Mel Gibson doesn't apply here, of course :)
