I'm impressed with the new Battlestar Gallactica (and I remember the old one from circa 1978). It's edgier and darker, the Cylons with their long metal digital fingers and red eyes are menacing.

Season premiere this coming Friday at 9 PM on Sci Fi channel. They filmed 14 episodes and ordered six more eps for a second season.

The plotline of the pilot also gives modern America something to think about: an enemy agent infiltrating a military software development project, and planting a bug/backdoor in all the fighter avionics that allows the Cylons to shut down all the fighters during a surprise attack.
