My father was an officer on submarines...1958 graduate of US Naval Academy...BTW there is no "real" running room on a submarine...in all reality.
The cool stories was when people got sick and had REAL bad gas...now THAT could send people running.

They used to do that to a rookie just to test em out on their trim skills. "Trim party" (Yeaaaaa Starboard! Yeahhhhhh.... AFT!!!! lol) I think they called it. You are totally right, it does work... Sometimes a bit too well... That Cap'n is toast. Too many Chinese in that area to be doin a clusterF$@k.

Man the Quarter Masters and the Nav have got to be crapping their pants about now. I was a Navigation Electronics tech on the Grant and I know they must be shaking in thier boots about now.
