Has U.S. threatened
to vaporize Mecca?

Intelligence expert says nuke option is reason bin Laden has been quiet

Why hasn't Osama bin Laden's terror network executed an attack on U.S. soil since 9-11?

Simple, says Dr. Jack Wheeler, creator of an acclaimed intelligence website dubbed "the oasis for rational conservatives": The U.S. has threatened to nuke the Muslim holy city of Mecca should the terror leader strike America again.

On his website, To the Point, Wheeler explains how the Bush administration has identified the potential of wiping Mecca off the map as bin Laden's ultimate point of vulnerability – the Damoclean Sword hanging over his head.

"Israel … recognizes that the Aswan Dam is Egypt's Damoclean Sword," writes Wheeler. "There is no possibility whatever of Egypt's winning a war with Israel, for if Aswan is blown, all of inhabited Egypt is under 20 feet of water. Once the Israelis made this clear to the Egyptians, the possibility of any future Egyptian attack on Israel like that of 1948, 1967, and 1972 is gone."

Wheeler says talk of bin Laden's Damoclean Sword has infiltrated the Beltway.

Writes Wheeler in his members-only column: "There has been a rumor floating in the Washington ether for some time now that George Bush has figured out what Sword of Damocles is suspended over Osama bin Laden's head. It's whispered among Capitol Hill staffers on the intel and armed services committees; White House NSC (National Security Council) members clam up tight if you begin to hint at it; and State Department neo-cons love to give their liberal counterparts cardiac arrhythmia by elliptically conversing about it in their presence.

"The whispers and hints and ellipses are getting louder now because the rumor explains the inexplicable: Why hasn't there been a repeat of 9-11? How can it be that after this unimaginable tragedy and Osama's constant threats of another, we have gone over three years without a single terrorist attack on American soil?"

Available only to subscribers of To the Point, Wheeler ends his column by explaining the effectiveness of the Mecca threat.

"Completely obliterating the terrorists' holiest of holies, rendering what is for them the world's most sacred spot a radioactive hole in the ground is retribution of biblical proportions – and those are the only proportions that will do the job.

"Osama would have laughed off such a threat, given his view that Americans are wussies who cut and run after a few losses, such as Lebanon in 1983 and Somalia in 1993. Part of Bush's rationale for invading Afghanistan and Iraq – obviously never expressed publicly – was to convince Osama that his threat to nuke Mecca was real. Osama hates America just as much as ever, but he is laughing no more."

Wheeler says bin Laden is "playing poker with a Texas cowboy holding the nuclear aces," so there's nothing al-Qaida could do that could come remotely close to risking obliterating Mecca.

Writes Wheeler: "So far, Osama has decided not to see if GW is bluffing. Smart move."

Last post...good job...

Out of respect for the Presidency...for the Country...for lovers of democracy and freedom all over the world...President Bush was generous and magnanimous...

Anyone that would question that is not a gentleman and does not understand kindness.

The "Gott Mit Uns" jihadist impulse is alive and well among those who call for the nuking of Mecca.

I understand your question only too well because I have asked it of myself many times. And by the way, it isn't 'innocent' it's loaded, but I'll skip that. My answer is simple. There is of course, a certain amount of assimilation. It's natural. Islam sees this as attrition. A great loss, a threat to its existence. If a muslim is not practicing his 'religion' he/she is apostate and that is punishable by death.
Assimilation is the greatest fear islam has. This is the first time in history that muslims have been required or able to live in the West as equals, not conquerers...thus, the imams in the mosques tell them we are filthy kuffar who will pollute them, they describe us as 'effluent from a sewer' and use whatever fear tactics proscribed in the koran in an attempt to keep their community apart from us. The Saudi wahhabi literature, which is delivered free to all islamic communities and bookshops, re-inforces their teachings. If you live in an area where this influence is not seen nor felt, it's not because the community are 'moderate' it's only that the clerics and the money, the literature has not arrived or reached them yet. It will.
Muslims can't escape islam. Mohammedanism was designed to hold its people captive.

The above link should give you some idea of what the imams preach. This one is from Sydney, Australia.

You said -- "Do NOT take the responsibility of Jesus unto yourself. Do not beg for the blood and death of those who may witness the truth that is Christ."

Proclaiming the word of the Jewish Messiah, the King of the Jews, the King of kings, the ruler of all nations, sent from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (and not from Ishmael) -- as that word is written in the Bible -- is not taking the responsibility of Jesus. Those who are His will always proclaim all there is to know of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His Messiah.

God wishes no death of anyone who proclaims His word, or the word of His Messiah. For the others, it's the lake of fire at the time of the Great White Throne judgement.

You also said -- "Do NOT ask the United States to be a surrogate for Jesus and His judgment. Should Jesus wish to destroy Islam, leave that to his judgment. Do not ask men to do that for Him..

The United States government will act as the legitimate protector of its citizens (and neither will it request permission from the U.N.). If that involves destroying the evil and illegitimate religion of Islam, which seeks to destroy millions of Americans (by Islamic proponents own words) -- then it is well within the scope and power of the United States to totally obliterate the basis for the continued existence of Islam. The United States will be acting entirely within its repsonsibilities and its scope. You will not limit that scope for the United States protecting its citizens in any way possible, by your mere words.

And when the Messiah comes, He will definitely destroy Islam, if it is still standing at that time. He will destroy anything of Satan, and that certainly includes Islam in that description. It is not a question of "if" -- but simply "when" He will destroy Islam. It may be a question in your mind as to what He will do, but it not a question for anyone who reads the Bible. It is totally clear what He will do. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has made it clear that there will be no other gods besides Him. The false god of Islam will no longer stand.

And lastly, you also said -- "Do not speak for God and Christ. It is in violation of the third Commandment and it makes me ill when I see it. You are neither God nor Christ. Do not sentence people to death because you believe that you are."

This has to be the most ridiculous and hilarious statement I've seen. Let's get this straight. Now, of the 6 billion (plus) people on this planet, not one of them is to utter any pronouncements of God. All Christians, all the pastors and all non-Christians are simply to use "mind-reading" to communicate any truth about God.

Perhaps you're thinking that God is now to be heard on the local radio talk show. Oh, wait a minute..., hmmmm..., those are "people", too -- talking on the show. Therefore they're disqualified from saying anything about God or what God said. Maybe God has His own talk show.

What radio or TV station did you say God was talking on today. But..., maybe you mean that we're simply supposed to read the Bible and never say anything about it. Yeah, that's it. We read, never talk -- and that's gonna make you happy, huh? What a moron!

You are a real piece of work with that line. How ridiculous can you get? Pretty ridiculous it seems. I'm sure everyone is getting a laugh out of this one ("oh, don't speak... just stand there silent [while we cut off your heads... yeah sure...]). Keep coming, you Islamic terrorists; we'll keep killing you!

As for the sentence of death, let me "read it" for you... (I'm only reading this now....). You don't hear me speaking, do you?

Here is your death sentence if your name is not in the Lamb's book of life (those who have accepted the Messiah as their savior).

Now, listen to God's words!

     Revelation 20

1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key
to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the
        Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;

3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up,
and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations
no more till the thousand years were finished. But after
these things he must be released for a little while.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was
committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been
beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God,
who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not
received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And
they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the
thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first
resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but
they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign
        with Him a thousand years.

7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be
        released from his prison

8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the
four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them
together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.

9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the
camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down
from God out of heaven and devoured them.

10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of
fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are.
And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it,
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there
was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,
and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is
the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their
works, by the things which were written in the books.

13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and
Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were
judged, each one according to his works.

14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This
        is the second death.

15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast
        into the lake of fire.

Your death sentence is the lake of fire, if your name is not written in the Lamb's book of life.

Regards,
Star Traveler

...keep on fighting...I will, until my last breath. My family were post-war migrants to Australia. Almost a third of our population are post-war migrants or their descendants. We only have some 300,000 muslim immigrants, but the pain they are causing us, the cost both financial and due to their criminal activities is horrendous. No Australian can be accused of singling out muslims or oppressing them, yet we suffer terribly. Like the rest of the world where they live, our lives have been altered and affected beyond anything we could have imagined.

Do not respond to me privately again. Where do you get off telling others what article they can or cannot post..You don't like it? Tough! I did it out of courtesy to to you. Your reply was obtuse beyond words. If you don't want to examine the results of what you post, that is your problem. But your brain dead reply to the very end of my response begged for a face saving response on my end. Hence my call to pay attention to what followed your post. Pardon me for being polite.

If you were hoping to publicly shame me here, the least you could have done is post my private message in this thread. You could reveal what a complete ass that I am and that my private message is an overblown, posturing crapathalon worth far below the toilet paper I buy in the budget aisle.

But it's much more effective to make some general statement with an ambiguous reply in public. I call you out for it. Post my horrible, horrible private message to you, word for word. Please don't add to it.

Thank you for your attention, "HOPE". Let me know when I actually do tell people what they can and can't post. Operators will be standing by. APf

Does the practice of taqiyah run clear to the soul? Following these threads is a dizzying cycle of denial and circuitous logic; but it all ends in the same place. Why would anyone defend the practice of islam in its current incarnation? For it is so clearly a cult of death and destruction; only a madman could defend it. Fight on, brother.

This is something that only recently sank into my thick skull. Remember when our Lord was approached by the young man who was wealthy...after all the talk was done, when it was apparent that the rich young man could not give away his wealth...Jesus did not argue with him...He just turned away and made His statement about the camel's eye...

I guess what I am saying is that the truth is wasted on those that will not hear...wasted on those that will not see.

I think your wisdom and that of the Spirit that dwells withing you is better spent on those who are on the edge of believing...who are still open-minded.

Of course, that is just my opinion.
