One does not have to spend much time with scientists to recognize that their political biases are routinely and unwaveringly Democrat.

I'm a scientist and I have not observed this at all -- far from it. Except for academic tenured scientists - they're a different breed.

I'm a scientist, also. They d@mned sure didn't poll petroleum geologists.

My bet is that tenured academics who rely on the grant mill lean left, those of us in the trenches (industry) are conservative.

Humans can make observations and interpretations nearly simultaneously. Data review takes longer, and may not provide as much useful information.

Sort of the difference between a geologist looking at well cuttings and looking at an outcrop.

The answers will, at best, only be as good as the questions asked, but with probes, only if the questions have been asked before the probe is launched.
