I recall a 4-5 year old episode of "Cops" filmed in Texas in which an elderly woman, after calling 9-1-1, had fired a few rounds from her revolver from her porch towards her detached garage at what she believed were prowlers. The responding officers checked the premises and found nothing. They then proceeded to remind her to be careful when firing into the dark at hard to see targets and then commenced to, and get this, reload her weapon where upon they returned it to her before leaving. I thought to myself this would never happen here in CA. I would have been cuffed and stuffed and would have never seen my handgun again. I like Texas!
