The only section I can think of is the section saying you cannot use deadly force if the property can otherwise be reasonably recovered.

Not I am not being a smart _ss...but when was the last time you had a resonable expectation of getting stolen property back? GRIN...still I personally would not shoot...

When you file an insurance claim and buy another (fill-in-the-blank). Doesn't work with objects of sentimental value.

No personal property is worth a man's life, even a criminal life. While alive, a person can repent. Dead, they do not have that option.
