Surely I do.
Thanks Calpernia, for the added support. :-)
Brain research in the last decade or two disputes that we use only a small part of our brains.
I do believe that there are capacities that are dormant.
I believe that we can tap into a spiritual dimension from which demonic forces and/or Holy Spirit can communicate to us.
I believe it's crucial to avoid the demonic side of things. The cost is tooooo dear not to.
Sometimes, I think God's Love is sooooo huge, that He will communicate to people however they will receive it.
Thanks Calpernia, for the added support. :-)
And, more than likely considerable rapturing about great nights in the sack ;~D
Stone cold sober,I can do all of the things I asked if he could do. I thought it was normal, until I found out that most people can't do all/any of that.
Man is born dichotomus and upon faith in Christ becomes trichotomous, body, soul, and spirit.
Some have gifts of the spirit in some areas that others do not.
The spiritual domain exists even if an unbeliever is dead to God in the spirit. So a number of spiritual things might happen which, if exposed to them, an unbeliever might associate with other things, such as ghosts, paranormal, ESP, etc.
I've found it interesting that when Christ walked on water and had Peter follow him, Peter began to sink and our Lord and Savior commented about the weakness of Peter's faith in association with the sinking into the water.
Funny thing about faith,...it only takes a little more faith than no faith to have a saving faith alone in Christ alone.
No I don't believe in ESP. If you do, please contact James Randi and take him up on his $1 million dollar challenge to prove it.
The only ESP-like person I have ever personally met said the same thing. That she didn't realize others were so dependent on only their tangible senses. She run and dance and move about a room full of desks and obstacles in our classroom ~completely~ blindfolded.
Demonic? You're gonna tell me that ESP is demonic? Well, how about color, taste, and smell memory? LOL
Psssssssssssst...there is nothing demonic about this stuff. It's all just abilities that most people lost through non-use.
eerrrr... She ~COULD~ run and dance and move about a room full of desks and obstacles in our classroom ~completely~ blindfolded.
I understand your point.
But it has, evidently, nothing to do with this area of the globe.
It is clear from the devastation that flimsy buildings, homes were plentiful on the beaches throughout the area.
And this doc asserts that these tribal people also dwelt near the beach.
BUT THEY LEFT AND WENT UP INTO THE HILLS/MOUNTAINS DAYS BEFORE THE DISASTER.
I can accept that at face value. I don't need to invent things to explain it away.
Night Tex!
It is your knee-jerk bias that causes you to accuse me of refusing to believe this report. :-)
I don't refuse to believe it. It may very well be true. I have no idea. Is it probable, as written? Well, no... it isn't probable. But in no way would I say it is impossible. Impossible and improbable are very different things. There are a great many things that have been wildly improbable but in the context of history have indeed happened.
In my other posts I think I've even defended the knowledge of the shaman or tribal-elder sort of person who exhibits uncommon wisdom. It doesn't have to be magic. It can in fact be good old-fashioned science developed over generations.
Or, maybe it really is a spiritual connection to God and Angels. I'm OK with that, too.
I'm funny that way. :-)
Any beginning psych book now says the same thing with documented MRI and PET scan research to prove it.
bump!
You invent explanations to explain lots of things, Quix.
And Dr. Doom didn't know about this when he was on Saturday?
I had a feeling those wild tribes would do OK in this crisis.
Most likely they saw the waters retreat exposing the sea bottom, and they knew that means a tidal wave will follow, and so they scrammed for high ground.
Living directly from nature, they could most likely run and climb and swim like heck when they have to, unlike couch potato "civilized" people.
I've long been annoyed with the burning of that library, too.
But I have come to believe that God must have facilitated it.
He commented at the time of the tower of babbel that unless they did confuse the languages--man would discover the secret of life itself. Interesting comment. Evidently God did not want tooo many discoveries out toooo quickly. He clearly had/has His own reasons.
