The predictions I made were rather bold, considering that at the time the typical personal computer running Windows 3.1 or DOS could not access the Internet I was able to surf the internet in 1995 on computers with Windows 3.1, 16 MB RAM and a 14.1 kb/s modem.

I used to dial-up bulletin boards with a 2.4 kbps modem back before this new-fangled internet came around.
