The Bahamas will absorb much of the impact and considerably weaken the wave prior to it hitting SE Florida.

Having said that, I'm glad I moved west and away from the beach.

We dont have the tsunami system and warning test-runs like Hawaii, but we do have the buoys and markers out there picking up info, that will give some warning.

Just remember, pretty much all of Florida is beach that just sees wave action infrequently enough for trees to grow on it...

Also, wouldn't the tsunami weaken proportionally with the square of the distance from the point of propagation?
