Thailand's royal family also were among the grieving. The Thai-American grandson of King Bhumipol Adulyadej, Poom Jensen, 21, was reportedly jet skiing when the tidal wave struck Phuket.Okay, not to make light of this horrible event (reading what happened to these people is heartbreaking), but I'll bite on this - how do you pronounce "Phuket"?

but I'll bite on this - how do you pronounce "Phuket"? When I heard it pronounced several different ways on TV
(EXCEPT for the way that they don't even DARE to pronounce it)
I began to suspect that they're desperately mispronouncing it on purpose and hoping that nobody notices.

how do you pronounce "Phuket"? I tried it several different ways, but then gave up and said, "Phuckit."
