Perceived or real, corruption problems with the UN have nothing to do with comments made by the UN in regards to the US level of financial aid....

Let those thugs in their golden palaces shell out some more, instead of trying to reach in my already overtaxed pockets. If life were perfect, I could help out a lot more, but my finances are finite, and every day somewhere on this planet someone is in need. But it's not my fault. If I don't take care of myself first, then altruism dies. I know that's hard for obsessive hand wringing do-gooders to understand, but it's the cold hard facts.

So true! Ironically, most liberals do take care of themselves first, but few (if any) are genuinely altruistic; and all are quick to criticize others for taking care of themselves first.
