It is odd that he has not been in church for four years

I wonder if he actually said that and if it there is more to it. Sort of like Rummy telling the men in Iraq that the Army goes to war with what it has. There was much more to that statement.

It also may be that Reggie is having a hard time adjusting to life outside of football. That happens to almost all players. Something may have happened that turned him away from the church in its modern day setting.

The first Christians did not have churches as we see them today. I believe they met in homes and in open air "parks". I think it was much different then what we have today. Maybe that was something Reggie was seeking. A return to what Jesus preached. I dont mean to imply that I know which way is right. Just that one can remain a believer in Jesus and what he did for us yet not attend a church.
