The Threat Matrix
The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.
"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."
We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research. |

WASHINGTON - A terrorist attack on a tanker loaded with liquefied natural gas could cause massive damage a third of a mile away and could send a vapor cloud billowing more than 1.5 miles, government scientists say. With the the nation clamoring for more natural gas, policy-makers are trying to figure out how to safely import large quantities of liquefied natural gas or LNG.

What's the status on the vulnerability on the 27th?
Any substance to it or the usual rumor level stuff? IMHO, considering the GG source, normal rumor level stuff.

Merry Christmas Eve Everyone!
Ex-Soldier will be offline until approximately the 28th. He'll be out of contact until then. Praying he has a safe trip and we don't have to use the contact list to reach him before he returns!
Also hoping everyone in the various "snow zones" stays warm and safe!

Thank you for this excellent thread Ian!! It just gets better and better.
Thanks to all for the prayers and thoughts during my surgery. I was just overwhelmed and humbled when I read them all. The prayers certainly helped as I did not have to have an open surgery on my shoulder! All was done with those tiny scopes. I did have a torn rotator and a torn muscle to boot. Also had to have quite a bit of calcification ground out of the shoulder socket so the joint would fit right. That, is the most painful area.
I'm getting along alright though and look forward to regaining the use of my arm a lot faster than what the doctor says.
Once again, thank you all for your prayers.
Merry Christmas to all!!!!

Last night I felt something was up but nothing is really strong. However, I have been tired all month and sick for the last two weeks, finally feeling better today but still dull and tired. My Threat O'Meter is not functioning properly. However, my Mother has been saying, for some time now, she thinks they will try something Christmas. She is fairly in tune. I don't see Christmas here in the States as a hit because people are in their homes (unless it was a residential strike or air borne thing that covered vast areas). If they were to get at us over Christmas they would go after our troops (God Bless them) in Iraq. But they just did that. So do they have another large suprise attack planned on them? I know all the daily attacks are suprises but an out of the ordinary again is what I mean.

Wishing my FRiends all the best this wonderful time of year.
Sending a very special Christmas wish to our fellow Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan. May the spirit of the season bring them a peaceful comfort and may the Lord bring them back home safe.
The company's Disaster Recovery Data Tapes are secured, my Christmas shopping is complete and now I'm off to enjoy Christmas with some old and dear friends.

Understand.
Have felt similarly about CHRISTmas.
Have had a particular concern for Houston and nukes. I pray it's just paranoia.
The BEST TO YOU AND YOURS this CHRISTmas and New Year.
