I live in solid red country, and I haven't heard any grumbling about Mr. Rumsfeld. I see a lot of troops, and they aren't grumbling about anything except the media.
The WORST thing for troop morale would be to lose Mr. Rumsfeld, and the WORST thing for the WOT effort would be to take liberal advice on how to run it, whether from so-called Rebublicans or not.
Well said, Judith Anne.
The same people tried to get the President to dump Vice-President Cheney before the election and now they are coming down hard on Rumsfeld (Abu Ghraib didn't work).
Those who are the most effective, the libs and the media try to bring down.
I am so glad President Bush knows exactly what they are up to and just ignores them.
If weak kneed Republicans think tossing Rumsfeld overboard will quiet criticism from the left and leftist media (redundancy), they are wrong.
It will only give the critics a taste for more blood and Bush's second term will be a mean dog fight.
