Is that a mission, or cathedral, at the 3 o'clock position? If so, I'm offended, and I demand that they remove it and re-design their seal yet again.
How about just a blank seal, so avoid the possibility of offending anyone? It can't even have words, since those would have to be in a language and non-speakers of that language might feel offended.
(for the sardonically-impaired FReepers: /sarcasm)

Of course it's controversial.
Even Jesus predicted that...

That "rainbow" is supposed to be the Hollywood Bowl (though given the demographics of San Fran, a rainbow might be apropos).

Yes:
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
- - Jesus in Matthew 5:11-12 (NIV) - -
Looks like our President and many others who are being demonized by the evil one's minions are in good company...

Is the human form in the center walking on water. Isn't the fish a sign of Christ? Looks like they still have some more defacing to do.

Somebody needs to get that sailing ship off of there. Evil white invaders used ships just like that to bring oppression and smallpox to the Native American tribes.

And the woman on the seal - do those sexists think that women were put on the Earth only to bring food to and cater to the every whim of men?

No fish or cow can be allowed either. Cows flatulate ozone layer-killing methane, and fish have feelings too. Might offend the vegetarians.
