I am unfortunately quite focused when it comes to my son. In fact, I will NOT "demand" my rights in this arena...if necessary, I will simply take them.
I was only being polite, as a civilized man should.
It is quite plain that the IDers and YEC's desire to ensure that my son is taught religion in school. THEIR religion, let's be honest, if they were but given half a chance.
They may teach their own children their mythologies to their heart's content, and with my full support and defense of that Right.
Should my son eventually desire to enter the scientific field, he will face less competition.
I will NOT tolerate his indoctrination into ANY religion in a government school.
"Should my son eventually desire to enter the scientific field, he will face less competition."
I have made that exact point, and the other points you make , endlessly, on other boards.
Let them keep it up!! So much the better for my kids, who have already received solid scientific educations.
Darwinism in action....:D
One of the reasons I encourage conservatives to abandon the (left-wing) government schools is because of the low intellectual quality of those institutions. You guys act like those political indoctrination centers are churning out Isaac Newtons and Thomas Edisons on a daily basis.
I'd match a randomly selected (for you evolutionists) group of 100 Christian homeschooled kids against a randomly selected group of 100 evolution-only public school kids any day.
