LOS ANGELES (AP) - Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters' family members earned more than $1 million over the last eight years by doing business with companies, candidates and causes that she helped, according to a newspaper report Sunday.
Waters' daughter and son pocketed fees from campaigns endorsed by the congresswoman's election mailers while her husband worked for a bond underwriting firm seeking government business from her political allies, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Waters, an influential lawmaker who has represented Inglewood, Hawthorne, Gardena and parts of Los Angeles since 1990, declined to answer detailed questions, insisting her family's fortunes were kept apart from her political activities.

All in the family. That her husband is a diplomat makes it smell all that much worse. Who appointed him?

Influential, Influential, BWAAHAAHAAHAAAA. That has to be funniest unintentional joke ever written in a newspaper. Wait, I forgot she is going to overturn the presidential election.

Oh, yeah! Mad Max. She's tied to drugs as well. Her comment before about it coming from the CIA was an act of projection. Why was she so adamant against Aristides being deposed in Haiti? Also, she has ties to Rap-A-Lot records which really is a money laundering outfit as well as a record label.
This woman is a scoundrel. The look that's always on her grill is as if she smells perpetual flatulence.

Is she sponsoring legislation to outlaw "Casual Friday?"

What I would like to know is how much it has cost the taxpayer for her to "earn" this much money. This is only one of her
"enterprises" I am sure she has several.

Maybe it's how she paid for the hatchet job she had done on her face.
Actually, the plastic surgeon did a pretty good job for what he had to work with.

Who appointed him? Two guesses. Both begin with the letter C.
To: LouAvul
How ironic.
This woman(?) wouldn't have enough intelligence or job skills to flip burgers in the real world, but since she's in congress she and her family are making millions.
That's it! I'm runnin' for congress. My platform will be because it's a pretty good job, and I want it!
I'll just vote no on every bill, that is if there's a bill up when I happen to be there....

It may not be illegal or against Sen.ethics rules but it certainly smells.
If it were a prominent Republican it would have been the sole topic on this mornings news shows.He/she would be forced to resign and the entire party would have to condemn them for days on end.

I would LOVE to see the evil, arrogant, utterly corrupt Maxinne doing a perp walk!It will never happen. They ALL are in this kind of "self-enrichment" up to their eyeballs. Just imagine how much money was made owning an interest in the many companies who got contracts for the Iraq War as well as Homeland Security.
We have the best congress money can buy...
